Religious School

In 1961, Temple Beth-El built its first Religious School building, demonstrating a belief in the importance of Jewish education. Today, our Temple youth attend a vibrant and creative Religious School program, the goal of which is to bestow upon our children the wealth of knowledge that is their heritage. This wonderful program gives our Jewish children the chance to socialize with each other while learning the history, music, holidays, tradition and customs of Judaism. Children in kindergarten through 6th grade attend Religious School each Sunday from 9:45 a.m. to noon. We also offer a pre-school Sunday School program once a month for three and four-year olds, in which they learn about our beautiful Jewish Holidays and are introduced to Temple life. Young adults in grades 7 through 9 attend Monday night school. Confirmation occurs after completion of the 9th grade. Hebrew instruction begins in the 4th grade in preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvah classes.
